Our Story
2009
Two rock climbing friends and business entrepreneurs realised a lifelong ambition, not only to work together but to launch a revolutionary and innovative product that benefited human performance and recover in every sport. Accapi UK was formed to make this a reality.
2010
The passion and commitment to product innovation attracted Andrew Geere as a partner and CEO and the attention of other innovative brands wishing to develop business in the UK. Andrew Geere's considerable commercial experience, gained with many UK and International leading brands in the Outdoor and Country sectors and the desire to add more innovative and interesting brands, led to the development of The Accapi Group.
2010
A chance meeting in the outdoors identified that Ruffwear were looking for a UK partner. Ruffwear is an outdoor brand every bit as technical and innovative as leading brands for humans, but for dogs. Ruffwear's mission is to inspire outdoor adventures for dogs and their human companions. We liked the brand and the people as well as sharing their values. We established UK distribution of Ruffwear in August 2010.
2014
With the introduction of Ruffwear, retail distribution expanded to include the pet sector. Ruffwear is without doubt the leader in their category, and the growth Accapi achieved in the UK market led to Accapi being appointed the exclusive distributor of Ruffwear across Europe.
2022
In October 2022, we opened our new German distribution centre which ultimately helped support our growth across Europe and provide shorter fulfilment times.
